The success of the Living and Learning School depends on the commitment of parents to participate in the school. Participation takes the form of classroom help, committee work, fund-raising, field trips, transportation, being on the Board of Directors, etc. Each family must participate throughout the year. The needs for participation are discussed with all parents at the beginning of the year. The responsibilities for running the school are divided as equally as possible between parents. Parent attendance, or someone known to the school representing the family, is required at the Whole School meetings held on the first Wednesday of every month (unless notified of change). It is at these meetings that the organizing, decision-making and division of tasks for the school are done.
